New Brunswick Property Tax Relief Program

If you own a property that is your principal residence, you could be eligible for a residential property credit. A principal residence is where you spend most of your time, eating, sleeping, and living. Though this tax credit goes against the provincial portion of your property tax, you will still have to pay all of your municipal property tax. You only need to apply for the Residential Property Tax Credit once and you will continue to receive it for as long as you own and occupy the property. Information can be found at;

New Brunswick Home Energy Assistance Program

The Home Energy Assistance Program provides a benefit designed to help low-income families deal with the high cost required to pay for energy. This program provides a payment of $100 to families with incomes of $28,000.00 and under. Information is available at;

New Brunswick Housing Corporation

The Province of New Brunswick entered the housing field in 1967 with the establishment of the New Brunswick Housing Act. Initially housing was involved with the delivery and administration of the Public Housing Program (family & senior rental units owned and operated by the Province).
